Kurdistan National Congress (KNC) Reactivates: A New Phase for Institutional Struggle Towards Independence
OSLO – Following a period of intensive preparation and assessment of the critical situation in the Middle East, the reactivation of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNC) was officially announced today. This move serves as a strategic response to fill the institutional vacuum in the Kurdistan political arena, aiming to elevate the political movement in Kurdistan towards a National-Kurdistani level.
The Kurdistan National Congress, dating back to 1985, has reactivated its Temporary Executive Board and specialized commissions after fifteen years of inactivity, with a new vision underpinned by the “Constitution of the Republic of Kurdistan.” The primary objective of this phase is to consolidate the capabilities of patriots within an institutional framework in pursuit of the high goal of independence and national sovereignty.
“We are here to prove that the Kurdish Nation possesses the will, law, and discipline of statehood. The era of fragmented struggle has ended; it is time to face challenges under the auspices of a national institution.”
— Official Spokesperson of the Kurdistan National Congress
